What is Tap Star?

A physical NFC card for your counter. A customer taps their phone on it and your Google review page opens — making it easy for happy customers to leave a genuine review.

My customers are older — will their phones work?

Most modern iPhones and Androids tap straight away. Some older handsets need NFC switched on, and a few won't tap at all — those customers can still search you the normal way. We'll tell you honestly what to expect for your crowd.

Can customers leave a bad review?

Yes. We don't filter or gate anything. Customers go to the real review page and write whatever they want. That's the honest way to do it, and it's the only way Google allows.

Do I pay every month?

No. The card is a one-off purchase. Monthly management is a separate optional service if you ever want it.

Can you guarantee I'll be number one on Google?

No, and nobody honestly can. Reviews are one factor that can help local visibility and customer trust. Google decides where businesses appear.

Can I use it at my business?

If you have a Google Business Profile that accepts reviews, yes — cafés, salons, trades, clinics, shops. You put the card wherever customers naturally finish up.

How does the card actually work?

It uses NFC — the same technology as tap-to-pay. A compatible phone taps the card and opens whatever link is programmed onto it.

Does the card leave the review automatically?

No. It takes the customer to your review page. They choose whether to leave feedback and write it themselves.

Is this allowed by Google?

Yes. We don't create, buy or fake reviews, and we don't stop anyone leaving negative feedback. Customers go to the genuine review destination.

Are you affiliated with Google?

No. Tap Star is an independent Australian business, not affiliated with or endorsed by Google.

What's the difference between one and two cards?

They're the same card. Two covers a second counter or till, and works out at $40 each instead of $49.

Do you deliver across Australia?

Yes, Australia wide. Local in-person setup may also be available depending on where you are.
